North Lanarkshire begins collecting cartons from the kerbside 18/08/2008

North Lanarkshire has recently become the 44th Local Authority to add beverage cartons to the materials collected from the kerbside.

Residents in the parts of North Lanarkshire covered by Phase 1 of the rollout can already recycle their beverage cartons from the kerbside by putting them in their blue bin (this includes Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Stepps, Moodiesburn and surrounding villages along with Coatbridge, Airdri and surrounding villages). Residents covered by Phase 2 will be able start recycling from the kerbside very soon. For more information about carton recycling in North Lanarkshire contact the council helpline: North Line 01698 403110.

Cartons are also widely recyclable across the rest of the UK, with over 85% of Local Authorities collecting cartons for recycling. Click on the interactive map icon at the top of the page to find out where else you can recycle your cartons.
